Program for the Patron Saint Festivities of Our Lady of the Rosary 2025 in Torrelamata
The schedule for the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary 2025 in Torrelamata has now been announced, bringing with it a full program of tradition, culture, and activities designed for all audiences. The Torrevieja City Council organizes this event, which will take place from September 15 to October 7, featuring a wide calendar filled with highlights.
Dates and Program
The festivities will begin on September 13 with an outdoor summer movie screening at Plaza Encarnación Puchol. On Sunday, September 15, the traditional Pilgrimage will be held, starting at 9:30 a.m. from the Parish Church, followed by an open-air mass at 11:00 a.m., and the return pilgrimage at 5:00 p.m.
Among the most anticipated events are the “Parabares” route (September 20), the children’s bull run and foam party (September 21), the traditional sobaquillo dinner with a mobile disco (September 26), and the floral offering with medal presentation (September 27).
On September 28, the program will include a paella contest, children’s activities, and the Novena in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary at 12:30 p.m. From October 3 to 5, the celebrations will feature music parades (charangas), a multicolor parade, popular street dances (verbenas), the grand solemn mass, and the traditional procession, culminating with a fireworks display. Finally, on October 7, the festivities will close with the ringing of bells and a solemn mass dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary.
Tradition and Culture
The program blends religious, cultural, and festive activities, highlighting both devotion to the Virgin and the preservation of local customs. Especially notable are the procession on October 5 and the grand mass, along with a wide variety of activities for all ages.
