Summer Cinema in Torrevieja: two nights of free screenings at Playa del Cura and La Mata
The Youth Department of the Torrevieja City Council has organized a new edition of the 2025 Summer Cinema, a free event designed to be enjoyed with family, friends, young people, and seniors in two of the city’s most iconic locations.
On Friday, September 12, the big screen will be set up at Playa del Cura, where audiences can watch:
-
Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse
-
A Man Called Otto
The following day, Saturday, September 13, the Summer Cinema will move to Encarnación Puchol Square in La Mata, coinciding with the district’s patron festivities. On this occasion, the screenings will include:
-
Pixels
-
A Man Called Otto
According to the Councillor for Youth, Domingo Paredes, the aim of this initiative is to “promote intergenerational coexistence and bring culture to every corner of Torrevieja. The summer cinema is an event that brings families together, encourages people to go out, enjoy the surroundings, and share experiences as a community.”
Each session will feature a giant screen and surround sound to ensure the best outdoor experience. Admission is free until capacity is reached. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, along with food and drinks, to enjoy the evening comfortably.
The Youth Department invites both locals and visitors to join these nights of cinema under the stars, a special way to bid farewell to summer and take part in La Mata’s festive celebrations.
