Torrevieja to Build 811 Subsidized Homes Thanks to the Plan Vive

The Generalitat and the City Council Award Four Construction Contracts to Expand the Public Housing Stock with a Social Focus

The Generalitat Valenciana and the Torrevieja City Council have awarded the construction contracts for 811 subsidized homes. These will be developed through an innovative system of future construction exchange, as part of the Plan Vive, with the aim of providing access to decent housing for hundreds of vulnerable families.

The Local Government Board approved the contracts today, allowing the selected companies to soon begin the necessary administrative steps to start construction. The project is divided into four lots on municipal land, primarily in the La Hoya sector, where 775 of the planned homes will be built.

“These 811 homes represent a major boost to the Plan Vive and a transformative step for Torrevieja,” said Susana Camarero, First Vice President and Regional Minister for Social Services, Equality, and Housing.

Mayor Eduardo Dolón emphasized that this project “will significantly expand the city's public housing stock and offer real solutions to those who need them most.”

• Lot 1 (220 homes) – Plot R-17, La Hoya → Abala Infraestructuras S.L.

• Lot 2 (195 homes) – Plot P-27, La Hoya → Aedas Homes OPCO S.L.

• Lot 3 (360 homes) – Plot R-31, La Hoya → Livanto Promociones S.L.

• Lot 4 (36 homes) – La Manguilla sector → Construcciones Udercón S.A.

The homes delivered to the City Council as part of the construction exchange agreement will become part of the municipal public housing stock and will be allocated to those with the greatest housing needs.

The tender launched by the Generalitat last December includes more than 1,600 subsidized homes across the Valencian Community, with Torrevieja being the city with the highest number of units in this first phase. Additionally, contracts have already been awarded in Elche, Alicante-Garbinet, and Sant Joan d’Alacant, adding another 171 homes.

Councillor Camarero emphasized that this legislative term is “the housing legislature,” reinforcing the Generalitat’s commitment to a sustainable and efficient public-private collaboration model.
