Torrevieja lights up 70 streets with a spectacular display for the Patron Saint Festivities and Christmas 2025

The official lighting ceremony will take place on November 22 with a major event that will mark the start of the festive season. According to the councilor in charge, Concha Sala, the project —carried out by the company Iluminaciones Granja S.L.— will feature over 500 illuminated decorations, including arches and ornamental figures.

Among the main attractions is a large walk-in snowman in Plaza Miguel Hernández, as well as two arches designed by the winners of the first School Drawing Contest for Christmas lighting, which will be displayed on Calle Clemente Gosálvez.

Trees and iconic locations
The highlight of the display will be a 22-meter natural tree located at the entrance of the port, next to Bar La Marina, decorated with 20,000 warm-toned LED lights. In addition, illuminated trees ranging from 15 to 20 meters tall will be installed in key locations such as Paseo Juan Aparicio, Plaza Encarnación Puchol (in La Mata), Plaza de Oriente, and the entrance to the “Tavi y Carmona” Sports Palace. Plaza de La Madera will also feature a new 8-meter tree.

The streets of Concepción, Fotógrafos Darblade, and Canónigo Torres will once again become one of the main highlights of the season, featuring an impressive canopy of lights made up of more than 14 kilometers of garlands, 100,000 bulbs, and 150 moving stars.

New areas and illuminated landmarks
This year, the lighting will extend to the “hippie zone” (Avenida de la Estación – Vía Verde) and the surroundings of Eras de la Sal and the Fábrica del Hielo, with more than 50 decorative figures along Gregorio Marañón and Desiderio Rodríguez avenues.

The churches of Inmaculada Concepción and Nuestra Señora del Rosario (in La Mata) will once again be adorned with over 150,000 LED lights. Additionally, the Purísima Concepción procession will feature 56 exclusive decorative arches.

Residential areas and sustainability
The festive lighting will also reach residential neighborhoods such as La Siesta, Torreta Florida, Los Balcones, and Aguas Nuevas, where 3,000 LED bulbs and “Merry Christmas” signs —in both Spanish and English (in the case of La Siesta)— will be installed.

The total project budget amounts to €387,467 plus VAT. With this initiative, Torrevieja strengthens its position as a Christmas benchmark in the Vega Baja region, blending tradition, innovation, and festive spirit throughout the city.
