Torrevieja joins The Champions Burger, Spain’s largest burger festival

From August 20 to September 7, Antonio Soria Park will become the epicenter of flavor and culinary innovation in the city. For the first time, Torrevieja will be part of the The Champions Burger tour, the biggest gastronomic event in Spain dedicated to selecting the best burger in the country. This edition, which will travel through more than 50 cities in 2025, brings nearly 20 food trucks to the town with exclusive gourmet creations designed for the competition.

A culinary and cultural event

The festival will kick off on August 20 with a spectacular neon arch inspired by the legendary American highways, welcoming all food lovers. For 19 days, Antonio Soria Park will be transformed into a gathering place to enjoy innovative recipes that combine tradition and modernity, crafted with top-quality ingredients.

Mayor Eduardo Dolón emphasized that initiatives like this help boost tourism and the local economy, while also strengthening Torrevieja’s image as an open and dynamic city. Similarly, councilman Domingo Paredes highlighted the opportunity for both young people and residents to enjoy a top-level gastronomic experience.

Competition with public voting

The event’s jury will be the visitors themselves, who will evaluate each burger by scanning a QR code and rating aspects such as the bun, meat, ingredients, presentation, and originality. Among the participants are well-known names such as Street Food Burger, Muralla, Dak Burger, The Vicbros Burger, Godeo, and Nola Smoke, among others.

In addition to burgers, there will be food trucks offering fried chicken, fries, and sweet options like donuts and cheesecake. Renowned restaurants and food content creators such as Moflete and The Ox will also take part, along with the current national and European champion, Gottan Grill.

The Champions Burger 2025: record-breaking edition and grand finale

After touring cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Córdoba, and San Sebastián, and making stops in Benidorm and A Coruña, the festival now arrives in Torrevieja at its peak. The national grand finale will take place in December, featuring the 35 most-voted burger restaurants, where the best burger in Europe will also be chosen.

With eight editions to date, The Champions Burger has established itself as Spain’s leading gastronomic event in its category, promoting quality, creativity, and sustainability, with a strong commitment to recycling and waste reduction.
