Torrevieja Offers Informative Sessions on the New Immigration Law
Following the entry into force of Royal Decree 1155/2024 on May 20th, which introduces a new Immigration Law, the Department of Coexistence and Integration of the Torrevieja City Council, through the PANGEA Office (Support for Migrant Persons), has launched a series of public informational talks.
The goal of these sessions is to explain the main legal changes, especially those affecting the Arraigo (residency based on integration) reports issued by the City Council.
What changes does the new law bring?
Starting in May 2025, the legislation includes five different types of Arraigo:
???? Family Arraigo
???? Social Arraigo
???? Socio-labor Arraigo
???? Second Chance Arraigo
???? Socio-educational Arraigo
Each of these legal pathways has its own specific requirements and procedures, making clear and direct information essential for those seeking to regularize their status in Spain.
Who can attend?
The Councillor for Coexistence and Integration, Óscar Urtasun, has stated that these sessions are open to anyone interested—individuals, associations, or groups.
