The N-332 in Torrevieja Will Be Expanded to Two Lanes with a €55 Million Investment
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has approved the Environmental Impact Report to expand the N-332 road in Torrevieja, allowing progress in the project's development.
With an investment of €55 million, the project will add an extra lane in each direction along a 4.47 km stretch, between the connections to CV-95 and Av. Rosa Mazón Valero. The goal is to improve traffic flow on a road that handles up to 50,000 vehicles daily during the summer.
Project Details:
- Addition of two new lanes, each 3.5 meters wide.
- The maximum speed limit of 80 km/h.
- Renovation and adaptation of overpasses and underpasses.
- Installation of acoustic barriers up to 3 meters high to reduce noise.
The environmental study has ruled out significant impacts on protected areas and includes measures to minimize noise pollution, and flood risks, and improve material management, following circular economy principles.
This project addresses a long-standing demand to enhance mobility and safety in Torrevieja and the Vega Baja region.
